Strain of the Week
How to Read a Strain (and This Week’s Pick)
“Is it indica or sativa?” is the most common question we hear — and it’s only part of the story. Here’s a simple way to read any strain on the menu.
Indica, sativa, hybrid
These labels are a rough starting point. Many people associate indica with relaxing, body-forward effects, sativa with uplifting, heady effects, and hybrid with a blend. Useful shorthand — but not a guarantee.
Terpenes matter more than you think
Terpenes are the aroma compounds that give each strain its smell — citrus, pine, pepper, fuel, berry. They shape the character of the experience alongside cannabinoids. If a jar smells amazing to you, that’s a good sign.
THC% isn’t everything
A higher THC number doesn’t automatically mean a “better” experience. Balanced strains, terpene profile, and how you consume all matter. If you’re newer, a moderate THC% is often a better time.
