What is flower?
Flower is the dried, cured bud of the cannabis plant — what most people picture when they think of cannabis. It’s versatile, fast-acting when smoked, and comes in a huge range of strains and aromas.
Strains are usually grouped as indica, sativa, or hybrid, but the real story is in the terpenes (aroma compounds) and cannabinoid content. Ask us to open a jar — the smell tells you a lot.
What to know before you buy
- Check the THC% and, if you want a gentler experience, look for balanced or lower-THC options.
- Sniff for terpenes — citrus, pine, earth, fuel — they shape how a strain feels, not just how it smells.
- Store flower in an airtight container away from heat and light to keep it fresh.

Reading the frost
The three trichome types
Not all trichomes are equal — the big frosty ones are what you’re really after.
Bulbous
The smallest — single-cell trichomes scattered across the plant. Present everywhere, but tiny.
Capitate-sessile
Mid-size, with a round head sitting flush to the surface. More resin than bulbous.
Capitate-stalked
The frost you can see. Tall clear stalks topped with a bulbous gland — richest in terpenes and cannabinoids.
