Dabbing Concentrates

Dabbing vaporizes concentrate on a heated surface for potent, flavorful hits. Best for experienced users.

What it is

Dabbing flash-vaporizes a small amount of concentrate (live resin, rosin, diamonds) on a hot banger. It’s intense and flavorful — and far stronger than flower, so amounts are tiny.

The full picture

Dabbing is the most advanced method on this list and, by a wide margin, the most potent. Instead of burning flower, you flash-vaporize a tiny amount of concentrate — live resin, rosin, badder, or diamonds — on a heated quartz banger. Because concentrates can run 70–90%+ potency, a dab the size of a grain of rice is a real dose.

Temperature is everything. A screaming-hot banger scorches the concentrate and gives a harsh, less flavorful hit; a lower temperature — a “cold start” or a few seconds of cooldown — preserves the terpenes and feels far smoother. An e-rig holds a set temperature for you and takes the guesswork (and the torch) out of it entirely.

Step by step

  1. Heat the banger

Heat the quartz banger, then let it cool to a low temperature for flavor.

  2. Measure a tiny dab

Use a dab tool to take a piece about the size of a grain of rice — or smaller.

  3. Apply and inhale slowly

Touch the dab to the banger and inhale gently as it vaporizes.

  4. Cap it

Place a carb cap over the top to keep airflow and flavor at low temps.

What you’ll need

  • A dab rig, or an e-rig / electronic banger
  • Concentrate — live resin, rosin, badder or diamonds
  • A quartz banger & a carb cap
  • A dab tool
  • A torch (unless you use an e-rig), plus a timer or temp reader

Common mistakes

  • Taking too big a dab — start smaller than you think, every time.
  • Dabbing on a red-hot banger; let it cool for flavor and comfort.
  • Skipping the carb cap, which wastes vapor at low temps.
  • Storing concentrate warm — it degrades and loses terpenes.

Tips from our team

  • Low-temp dabs = better flavor and smoother hits.
  • Start with a rice-grain dose — potency is high.
  • An e-rig takes the guesswork out of temperature.
  • Store concentrates cool and sealed.

Stay safe

Concentrates are extremely potent. Take the smallest possible dab and wait — this is not the place to go big.

Dabbing Concentrates — common questions

How is dabbing different from a vape cart?

Both vaporize concentrate, but dabbing uses raw extract on a rig and hits much harder. Carts are the pocket-sized, no-torch version — a far gentler place to start.

What’s a “low-temp” dab?

Heating the banger, then letting it cool 30–60 seconds before you dab. It vaporizes rather than burns the extract — smoother, tastier, and much easier on you.
