Joints & Pre-Rolls
The classic. Flower rolled in paper — or rolled for you as a pre-roll — for a simple, social smoke.

What it is
A joint is ground cannabis flower rolled in thin rolling paper. A pre-roll is the same thing rolled for you, so there’s no prep at all. Infused pre-rolls add concentrate for extra strength. It’s the most familiar way to enjoy flower and easy to share.

The full picture
Smoking flower is the most direct way to feel cannabis — effects arrive almost immediately, which makes a joint one of the easiest methods to pace. You take a puff, wait a minute, and you already know where you stand. That fast feedback is exactly why it’s such a forgiving place to start.
The trade-off is that combustion is harsher on the throat than vaporizing, and a lit joint keeps burning between puffs, so some flower is lost to the air. Pre-rolls fix the convenience side entirely — ground, rolled, and ready — and infused pre-rolls add a coat of concentrate or kief for a noticeably stronger hit.
Step by step
- Grind your flower
An even grind burns smoothly. Skip this with a ready-made pre-roll.
- Roll or grab a pre-roll
Roll evenly (not too tight), or simply pick a pre-roll off our shelf.
- Light the tip while drawing
Rotate the tip in the flame and draw gently until it’s evenly lit.
- Inhale gently, then rest
Small, easy draws. Let it sit between puffs so it burns evenly.
What you’ll need
- Flower, or a ready-made pre-roll
- A grinder for an even, smooth burn
- Rolling papers or cones if you roll your own
- A lighter or hemp wick
- An airtight tube to keep pre-rolls fresh
Common mistakes
- Rolling or packing too tight — it chokes airflow and burns hot.
- Pulling too hard, which scorches the flower and turns harsh.
- Lighting the whole tip at once instead of rotating it evenly.
- Letting it “canoe” up one side — rotate as you smoke to keep it even.
Tips from our team
- Draw gently — pulling too hard burns hot and harsh.
- Rotate while lighting for an even “cherry.”
- Store pre-rolls in an airtight tube so they don’t dry out.
- Try a single pre-roll to sample a new strain.
Stay safe
Start with a puff or two and wait — you can always have more. If you’re new, choose a lower-THC strain.

Joints & Pre-Rolls — common questions
How much is in one pre-roll?
Most singles are a half-gram or a full gram, printed on the label. A half-gram is a comfortable amount to share or to sample a new strain.
What’s an infused pre-roll?
A pre-roll with concentrate or kief mixed in or coated on. It hits noticeably stronger, so treat it as an experienced-user option and go slow.
